I'm off to college in 18 days (but who's counting?) and I'm a mix of excited/anxious/disbeliving. The summer has flown by, and no matter how cliche that is, it's very, very true. It feels like graduation was a week ago, but here I am, two days until August! High School's over, and I don't think I'll miss it. Will I miss friends and teachers? Perhaps...but school itself? The work? The food? The getting up early? Heck no. I'm headed off to D.C - American University. It was my first choice, and I have no idea how I'm actually going there in a few short weeks.
In other news...I finished writing my fantasy novel, and I'm now into the editing process, which is like slogging through mud. Ugh. It's over 200,000 words...and I haven't been as dutiful as I should have been in sitting down and editing. Whoops. It'll happen...I just need to put my mind to it... >_<
Otakon '09 was a week or so ago now, and it was great! I bought a Katana...a real, sharp, dragon engraved Katana. It is beautiful. I polished and cleaned it the other day, and I think I almost cried. Soooooo shiny. Now I just need to get some watermelons to slice in half...XD It was worth every cent. If I get ambitious, I might even put some pictures of it up.
My latest obsession is an Anime called Noein...it's all about different dimensions, and it's very sci-fi and nifty. Crispin Freeman is the english dub voice of Karasu...which was my first reason for watching it, but now I've been carried away by the story. Everyone should watch Noein!
And now it's time for dinner, so I bid you adieu.
